The cat or kitten bill of sale is a legal contract that is used for the purpose of purchasing a cat or kitten from a seller or a breeder. This contract protects all parties involved, including the seller and the buyer and it is presented to the buyer once the transaction is concluded.
Among many other provisions, the form provides room for the buyer to bring in a veterinarian to examine the kitten within 48 hours after the agreement. If the veterinarian indicates that the kitten is suffering any form of medical deficiency, the seller will request for a proper documentation stating the issue. He will then get a veterinarian of his own choice to examine the kitten in order to collaborate the claim. If the claims are found to be true, the seller will take the kitten back and refund payment with the exception of the deposit and shipping charges.
On the other hand, if all goes well and the kitten is purchased, the seller or breeder will no longer incur any more expenses. This document requires the witness of a state licensed notary public.
