A vehicle bill of sale is a legal document that bears the full details of a transaction between a seller and a buyer of a vehicle. The template indicates that the seller who owns the vehicle has transferred it to the buyer at a specific purchase price and, henceforth, the buyer owns the full rights to the vehicle.
In some instances, the transfer of ownership comes with a warranty. In others, however, warranty is not given and the vehicle is sold “as is.”
Generally, the vehicle bill of sale template includes the following information:
- a full description of the vehicle,
- the vehicle’s identification number (VIN),
- any warranty that may have been agreed upon,
- sale price,
- the name of the buyer and the seller and the county and state in which the vehicle was sold.
